With the Delta Center attendance being at capacity, there's certainly no shortage of fan stories to be heard! The event had an impact on each individual, family, staff and even the new players as well. Some players have quoted that the event was the highlight of their entire career!
The way they were welcomed at the airport by the youth, and the loud cheering inside the arena. It was all unforgettable for all. Here we will be compiling interviews and stories from fans who attended, so we can grasp the full picture from their different perspectives.
"Let’s Go!!!!!"
"Utah is excited! We are excited! It’s going to be such a great thing for us locals! I’m most excited for the youth in our community. Having an NHL team will help our youth programs grow."
"Youth Hockey and building rinks needs to be a focus, or this think dies pretty quick. Utahns have lots of kids and are cheap. Youth Hockey must be cheap, quick, and easy to get the kids in. Adult leagues are full too, but Wu Tang is for the babies. "
"Let’s go team!!! I’m pushing to be your music man. I promise to hype the crowd up and give you that small edge over the opposing team to get a dub! "
"I hope the team felt welcomed, I know this was big change for everyone affiliated with the coyotes. I'm excited to see them play and hopefully make it to the play offs and more next season. Im hoping with the new owner and franchise they can get what they need to be a badass team. "
"Have an awesome time in Utah, enjoy the mountain scenery, and hope you adapt well to the higher altitudes."
Congrats to the Cats on their well earned Stanley Cup!
Series now stands at 3-2 for Florida. Edmonton wins another with a score of 5-3. Keeping their hopes alive for a game 7 win of the Stanley Cup.
It's all came down to two teams!
The official logo and jerseys are now shown for the teams first NHL hockey season in 2024-2025
Second round voting now open on nhlinutah.com
Big energy that day, made some great friends and all 3 of us caught free t-shirts. Got on the scoreboard and got to sit with an original equipment manager for the Salt Lake City Golden Eagles back in '89. He deserved to catch the first shirt.
A common interest like Hockey can unite complete strangers and give them reason for cheer.
My home city is Mississauga, Ontario Canada. But once I saw the exciting event planned at Delta Center in Salt Lake City, Utah, I just had to be part of the action!
To be there in person as a sports journalist and a hockey fan promised to be a very memorable experience. To be part of this rare event and capture photos, meet fellow hockey fans and especially feel the energy of the excited local fans in Utah. That whole experience inspired me to create this fan website and blog my journey.
I'm definitely going to be following the Utah team as the upcoming season starts. I'm pumped to see them play. And also hope to use the free pre-season vouchers I won for getting in the first 5000 in the Delta Center arena lineup.
